No Morrow pen has a price, and none ever will. Each pen is placed on a case-by-case basis with a person or a cause, and the deciding questions are always the same: what good will this pen be part of, and how does that work improve the lives of others?
Charity
Pens are placed with organisations and people doing charitable work, and with charities who wish to use a pen to raise funds for their mission. Where a pen can do the most good, that is where it goes.
The mission of mankind
Work that moves humanity forward: healing, teaching, building, protecting, discovering, and the quieter work of looking after people. If what you do makes the world better than you found it, that is what we want to hear about.
Case by case
There is no form of words that guarantees a pen and no category that rules one out. Every request is read by the maker, considered on its own merits, and answered personally.

The form below asks who the pen is for, what they do, and why a pen made by hand belongs in that work. Write plainly; it is read by one person.

Consideration
Every request is considered individually. Within a few weeks you will receive a personal reply, whether or not a pen can be placed.

A conversation
If a placement goes ahead, Jason will talk with the person who will hold the pen about grip, pressure, and how they write, and choose the material for that hand.

Placement, and a lifetime of care
The pen is made, numbered, signed, and delivered with a written record of its making. It returns to the studio for service whenever it needs it, for as long as it exists.

- Can I buy a pen?
- No. Morrow pens are not sold, at any price, to anyone. They are placed.
- Who receives a pen?
- People and organisations whose work improves the lives of others: charities, and those working in service, care, teaching, discovery, and the betterment of their communities. Each request is judged on its own.
- Can a pen be placed with a charity for fundraising?
- Yes. A charity may request a pen to be auctioned or gifted in support of its mission. Tell us about the cause and the occasion.
- Can I request a pen for someone else?
- Yes, and many placements begin this way. Tell us about the person and their work. If a pen is placed, Jason will speak with them directly about how they write.
- How long does it take?
- Most placements take two to four months from the first conversation; urushi work takes longer. Nothing about the process is hurried.
